Mono announce new album ‘Pilgrimage Of The Soul’
MONO have announced a new album!
Titled Pilgrimage Of The Soul, the upcoming album from the Japanese instrumental post-rock band is the follow-up to 2019’s Nowhere Now Here and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Pelagic Records.
The upcoming was recorded and mixed – cautiously, anxiously, yet optimistically – during the height of the COVID- 19 pandemic in the summer of 2020, with one of the band’s longtime partners, Steve Albini. The upcoming album intends to be aptly named as it not only represents the peaks and valleys where the band are now as they enter their third decade, but also charts their long, steady journey to this time and place.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song to be lifted from the upcoming album; Riptide.
