Mountain Caller announce new album ‘Chronicle II: Hypergenesis’
MOUNTAIN CALLER have announced a new album!
Titled Chronicle II: Hypergenesis, the new album from the UK-based instrumental progressive post-metal trio is scheduled to be released in January next year via their new label of Church Road Records. The album follows their 2021 EP Chronicle: Prologue, and will feature their recent single The Archivist.
Alongside the announcement of the album, the band have released a second track from it, titled Dead Language.
Speaking about the track, bassist El Reeve comments, “Dead Language follows on from The Archivist where we saw The Protagonist stumble across an ancient library suspended in the air tethered to the ground by huge chains. Now she undertakes the deciphering of a forgotten language in order to understand what she must do next in her quest. The track opens with the drums mimicking the ticking of a clock to indicate the passage of time where she pores over runes and texts, and we uncharacteristically use vocals to once again give The Protagonist a voice and a window into her internal dialogue.”
