MTXS announce debut album ‘Ache’
MTXS have announced their debut album!
Titled Ache, the upcoming album is the second offering from the emerging UK metal/hardcore group and is scheduled to be released in June this year.
The upcoming album was produced by Erik Bickerstaffe of LOATHE and is ten tracks of pummeling low-tuned dissonant hardcore with strong messages of hope, anger and reflection, touching on many issues including corruption, abandonment, self-awareness, mental health and more. Taking influence from the new wave of American hardcore (VEIN, CODE ORANGE, KUBLAI KHAN) as well as classic groove metal (LAMB OF GOD, PANTERA) and nu-metal (KORN and SLIPKNOT), MTXS have created a sound that’s as pummeling as it is hook-laden and infectious.
Alongside the announcement of the album, the band have launched a new music video for the first single from the upcoming album; titled Mould. Speaking about the new single, the band says, “we decided for Mould to be the debut single as it best represents the album. With it changing relentlessly and going through different emotional states it grasps everything within the album in one song; from anger and realisation, to confusion and grief, it captures everything that describes Ache in one heavy punch.”
