NEWSHAPES have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Deadweight, is taken from the Scottish pop-tinged post-hardcore band’s upcoming new EP, a conversation with myself, which is scheduled to be released in April this year, via self-release. The new EP comes on the back of last year’s singles heavensent and feel it.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Ian Mann shares, “I was feeling angry and to some extent really hated myself while writing the lyrics for this record and deadweight is the track where I embraced that bleakness. It’s a song that I think retrospectively I’ve written about growing older. You learn to not keep doing certain things or being in certain places if they don’t make you happy but that doesn’t actively fix the problem, that is usually you, and how you see yourself. I’m facing that head on in this record. deadweight is the start of this conversation as we’ve called it where I am telling myself I need to really look inward to become a better me.”
