Nothing announce new album ‘a short history of decay’
NOTHING have announced a brand new album!
The Philadelphia-based shoegaze band will release their fifth studio album, a short history of decay, on February 27th, 2026 via Run For Cover Records. The upcoming album is the follow-up to 2020’s The Great Dismal, which was released via Relapse Records.
Recharged by a newly solidified lineup featuring guitarist Doyle Martin (CLOAKROOM), bassist Bobb Bruno (BEST COAST), drummer Zachary Jones (MSC, MANSLAUGHTER 777), and guitarist Cam Smith (LADDER TO GOD, CLOAKROOM), the upcoming album captures frontman Domenic “Nicky” Palermo at his most unflinching: confronting aging, illness, and the weight of memory with startling clarity.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, NOTHING have shared the album’s first single and video: cannibal world.
