Other Half release new music video for ‘Farm Games’
OTHER HALF have released a new music video!
The new music video, for the track Farm Games, is taken from the Norwich-based post-hardcore band’s upcoming new album, Dark Ageism, which is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Big Scary Monsters.
Speaking about the new song, vocalist Cal says, “Farm Games is about the pursuit for an Arcadian Britain, something I got pretty invested in during lockdown (in as much as I watched the Wicker Man twice and went outside slightly more than usual), and how that sort of thing actually manifests itself in the context of an OTHER HALF song i.e. taking drugs and playing Farmville. It’s another bleak little swipe at the future, or lack thereof, and my own inability to grow up within it.
The song basically exists as a sad celebration of all the things I’m far too old to be doing; be that getting politely asked to wipe away the evidence of illicit excess in a club, or having two wet dreams in the space of a night, both pretty infantilizing things to happen to you in your 30’s, but I think it’s better to, as the children say, own these things. Regress like you mean it.”
