Perturbator announces new album ‘Lustful Sacraments’
PERTURBATOR has announced a new album!
Titled Lustful Sacraments, the upcoming album from the dark synthwave project, aka James Kent, is his brand new full-length album and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Blood Music.
The upcoming album was written, performed, produced and mixed by Kent and intends to represent his most mature work to date, merging the dark synthesised tones that brought PERTURBATOR to worldwide prominence with classic post-punk, goth, and heavy techno rhythms. “It’s an album about bad habits, dissatisfaction and addiction,” Kent says of the album that serves as a follow-up to 2017’s New Model EP. “An overall look at how we, as a species, lean towards self-destruction.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song lifted from the upcoming album; Death of the Soul. Speaking about the song, Kent adds, “the track takes inspiration from old school EBM a la DAF or FRONT 242, Valnoir (METASTAZIS) has managed to perfectly pair visuals that reflect the nihilistic tone of it.”
