Phoxjaw announce debut album ‘Royal Swan’
PHOXJAW have announced their debut album!
Titled Royal Swan, the upcoming album from the Bristolian quartet is their debut full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Hassle Records.
Born from a cabin-fevered recording experience at Devil’s Bridge in Wales, Royal Swan harks back to a fantastical medieval England. Without being overtly political, the album also details the tension inherent in modern day Great Britain – the sense of isolation and resentment the United Kingdom has fostered versus trying to retain a sense of pride in one’s own country. The upcoming album was self-produced, with drums recorded by Lewis Johns.
Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for the first song from the upcoming record; titled Half House.
