Poly-Math announce new album ‘Zenith’
POLY-MATH have announced a brand new album!
Titled Zenith, the upcoming album from the London/Brighton-based prog band is the follow-up to last year’s The Cadaver Tomb Pt. 1 and The Cadaver Tomb Pt. 2, and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via Nice Weather For Airstrikes.
Recorded at The Ranch Production House in Nursling with producer Mark Roberts [DELTA SLEEP, TOSKA, BLACK PEAKS, THE PHYSICS HOUSE BAND], Zenith is the fourth record from the band and intends to represent a clear development: eight tracks of punchy riffs, guitar/sax battling melodies and tight, complex rhythms that capture the band’s massive live energy.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song from the upcoming album; Zenith (Vel Cut). The new song was first premiered via Prog Magazine. Speaking about the new song, the band says, “Zenith (Vel Cut) was written to be a battle between saxophone and guitar. It’s the opening track on the record, and was the first track that we recorded with saxophone. A lot of the parts were largely improvised to create an unpredictable slow-building cacophony throughout the song.”
