Portals Festival announce nine new bands
Portals Festival have announced nine new bands for this year’s festival!
The new announcement, which sees nine new bands, join the festival lineup celebrating everything from post-metal to mathcore. Leading the charge in the new announcement is post-metallers BOSSK, who land a sub-headlining slot on Saturday, AD/DK (who come in to replace ELEPHANT TREE who have had to withdraw due to injury) and HUNDRED YEAR OLD MAN.
Also confirmed is ASTROSAUR, A BURIAL AT SEA, DEAD BIRD, OGIVES BIG BAND, MOUNT FOREL and QARIAQ.
The newly announced bands join the likes of MONO, AND SO I WATCH YOU FROM AFAR, MAYBESHEWILL, SVALBARD, A.A. WILLIAMS, NORDIC GIANTS, PUPIL SLICER, and more.
Speaking about the new announcement, festival organisers Sam and Asher say, “we’re thrilled to reveal the almost complete lineup for Portals Festival 2023 at EartH Hackney. We’re especially delighted to welcome BOSSK back to Portals Festival after their mind-blowing headline set at Portals Festival 2021, we’re expecting to be drenched in post-metal and we can’t wait. ELEPHANT TREE have had to cancel and we send our best wishes and a speedy recovery to Jack.
In their place we welcome AK/DK back to the Portals stage; they first performed for us at an all-dayer at the Brixton Windmill in the early days of Portals. It’s been incredible to see them grow over the years and we’re looking forward to seeing what they can do on such an incredible stage at EartH. We’ve had shed loads of requests for this year’s day splits and day tickets, so it’s great to get them out. There are limited numbers so don’t wait around!”
Portals Festival 2023 takes place at Heaven, London from 27th – 28th May 2023. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
