Portals Festival announce nine new bands
Nine new bands have been announced for next year’s Portals Festival!
Following October’s announcement, which saw the likes of IF THESE TREES COULD TALK, LITE, MIDAS FALL and more confirmed, now, nine new bands have been announced for the festival that celebrates everything from post-metal to mathcore!
Leading the charge in the latest announcement is Chinese instrumental post-rock outfit WANG WEN, whilst BIG | BRAVE, SLOW CRUSH and HER NAME IS CALLA will all perform at the festival in London next May. Also confirmed is ÅRABROT, LOST IN KIEV, ITOLDYOUIWOULDEATYOU, ATSUKO CHIBA and LAWI ANYWAR.
Speaking about the new announcement, festival organiser Asher Kenton says, “WANG WEN are well known for their intense live shows, and their performance at Portals Festival looks set to rival some of the finest performances the festival has seen. We’re thrilled to be bringing them over for this special occasion.”
Festival organiser Sam Festenstein adds, “with over half the lineup now announced, we can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction as we think it’s possibly our best lineup yet. The number of bands we are bringing to London that haven’t played in years or, in some cases, never played makes us incredibly excited!”
Portals Festival 2023 takes place at EartH, London from 25th – 26th May 2023. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
