PREMIERE: Another Cold Strong Drink – OddZoo

Distorted Sound is pleased to premiere the brand new song from ODDZOO!

Imagine THE SOFT MOON, M83, CULT OF LUNA and A PERFECT CIRCLE are thrown into a blender and what do you get? ODDZOO of course!

Pulling influences from the realms of synth, indie pop, experimental noise, post punk, and hardcore the binational (Sweden/France) trio are gearing up to release their debut album, Future Flesh, in a couple of weeks and we here at Distorted Sound are thrilled to premiere a brand new song from the album; Another Cold Strong Drink.

Speaking about the track, the band says, “Another Cold Strong Drink is about a voluntary blackout or rather the search for a temporary memory lapse. In other words it’s another way of saying “I’m giving up on this relationship… for a while. I’m erasing you from my mind… for as long as I can. Another Cold Strong Drink is probably the ‘poppiest’ track off of Future Flesh. This is our debut album so we’re both excited and a bit anxious. We’re not really sure how this album will be received by the media and the public. But hopes are high since we’re proposing something very straightforward but radical, both in terms of sound (harsh and noisy) and lyrically speaking (quite raw and to the point). All of this highlighted by Magnus Lindberg’s exceptional mastering.”
