PREMIERE: Become The Damned – Antre

We here at Distorted Sound are delighted to premiere the new music video from ANTRE!

The new music video, for the track Become The Damned, is taken from the UK underground black metal band’s upcoming new EP, Dark Spectrum, which is scheduled to be released in January next year, via Withered Hand Records.

Speaking about the new music video and the upcoming EP, the band tells us, Become The Damned is a song about wrath, the causes and effects of that emotion. Its a picture of the journey a person takes when harmed. The trip of pure anger towards another for an injustice committed against them by a person or situation. This is something we have all experienced in these troubled times. Chaos, death and destruction manifests in the visual representation of the track, which has been imbued with the red mist of rage. It’s the violence in your brain, the images of death and destruction which flash in your minds eye and form that descent.

Our forthcoming EP (Dark Spectrum) is based around the bands experiences felt within the dark void of 2020. It is a representation of our anger, fear and pain in trying times. Dark Spectrum is a culmination of everything that has been felt and experienced by most, in the times we currently reside. Channelling the darkness, despair and fear of such trying times, into individually crafted tracks born from the personality of each member of the band. Conceptually we took four of these emotions and distilled them into 4 raw and impassioned tracks.

Become The Damned is the continuation of our DIY values, which have been expanded out of necessity with this year’s challenging circumstances. The video is self produced by guitarist Donny from found footage and self created visuals found on dark nights of isolation.”
