PREMIERE: Carpe Noctem – A Titan, A Deity
Distorted Sound are delighted to present a new music video from A TITAN, A DEITY!
The UK progressive metal outfit have come a long way since their inception in 2016. They successfully garnered the spotlight with their 2018 EP release entitled Animate/Redefine and have supported the likes of MONUMENTS and THE CONTORTIONIST on the back off this success. This year they are hoping to build on this momentum studiously working away on new material, a taster comes in the form of new video Carpe Noctem.

Carpe Noctem covers a wide range of interpretation which encourages the listener to find their own context within its lyrics. Frontman Luke Whyle states “as an artist/lyricist, I genuinely think it is so, so vital to allow people to take what they want to interpret from any piece of art, it makes it so much more personal, and a song can be so easily tapped into if it is allowed to flow well but also keeps a philosophical edge. To me, this song is about picking myself up no matter what life has thrown at me. Carpe Noctem covers past mistakes that I deeply regret, it covers the absence of my father and also briefly taps into mental health issues such as voices or “echoes” in my head.”
Harnessing their influences A TITAN, A DEITY display all the melodic qualities of TESSERACT and combine it with the raw energy of ARCHITECTS to provide a captivating intensity that has to be heard to be fully appreciated. It takes a strong character to stand out in the progressive/tech metal scene and the quintet are poised to prove why they are not to be underestimated.
