PREMIERE: City Burns – Deepshade

We here at Distorted Sound are delighted to premiere the new music video from DEEPSHADE!

The new music video, for the track City Burns, is taken from the Wigan-based psych/grunge rockers latest studio album, Soul Divider, which was released at the start of May. We have the pleasure of giving the new music its official premiere!

Speaking about the song, the band tells us, “the song came together in a jam session with the band. Tom was playing around with the eastern style intro riff, and we picked it up from there. Dave added to the main riff and wrote the verse and ending. The lyrics and melodies came a short time later. At the time of writing, there was lots of chaos around and in the media. This brought about the hook of the lyrics ‘let the City’: if you could say you had fallen in love with ‘a City’ then out of love, all you would want at that time would be for that City to burn, after it had swallowed you up and spat you out.”
