PREMIERE: Earthshine – The Whirlings

Distorted Sound is delighted to premiere the brand new album from THE WHIRLINGS!

Founded in 2008 in L’Aquila, Italy, THE WHIRLINGS draw their inspiration from heavy-psych, stoner and instrumental post-rock influences. Their brand new album, Earthshine, propels itself beyond the band’s trademark heavy psych and post-rock sound, offering a rich blend of sounds and sonic languages shaped during endless jams and live shows. Its force lays in the band’s ability to craft intense yet elegant buildups, involving the listener in silky stargazing that progressively shifts their way towards highly telluric and fuzz-laden soundscapes. And ahead of the album’s release this Friday, we have the pleasure of giving the album its official premiere!

Speaking of the new album, the band tells us, “the waiting is finally over. Here’s to you the third chapter of our psychedelic trip. Earthshine is an unpredictable and fluid magma. We invite you to join us, out of your comfort zone. Let yourself flow toward unknown horizons.”
