PREMIERE: Hammer – Filth Wizard
Distorted Sound is pleased to premiere the brand new song from FILTH WIZARD!
The new song, titled Hammer, is taken from the New Zealand progressive metal trio’s upcoming debut album Thor’s Toolbox which is scheduled to be released in November this year.
Pulling influence from the likes of MASTODON, OPETH, TOOL and more, this emerging prog metal trio is a truly exciting prospect and we here at Distorted Sound are delighted to premiere the band’s brand new single!
Speaking about the track, bassist Hanna Ott says, “Hammer takes a slightly unconventional approach to straightforward riffs, like that mate we all have who’s a classic bloke, loves his beer and his motorbike but he’s got a bit of a quirk too, like collecting cacti or something.” Drummer Joseph O’Donnell adds, “Hammer is a relentless onslaught of heavy METALLICA-esque riffage. Straightforward and bludgeoning. Kinda like a hammer really. Goes down good with a beer and a bowl of nails.” Guitarist Tyler Reynolds concludes, “Good wholesome fun for the whole family.”
