PREMIERE: Of Wolves – Misanthropy

Distorted Sound is proud to premiere the new single from Durham based deathcore outfit MISANTHROPY!

MISANTHROPY formed in 2015 with their debut self titled album and since then have shared the stage with the likes of TWELVE FOOT NINJA, UNEVEN STRUCTURE, NOVELISTS and OSIAH. Now with a fresh lineup and a rejuvenated sense of purpose they look to make their mark on the UK deathcore scene. Speaking about the EP, vocalist Benjamin Jones says, “with this EP we really wanted to make it personal both with the lyrics and the music. In the past we had wrote with a product in mind where as this EP it was all about finding our own style. Some of the parts and concepts are even from way back when we were at uni. It took a while to put together as we really wanted to find a solid line up with people we really felt fit into the band. I’m glad to say the three new members fit that bill and its a pleasure to play with them all. Lyrically a lot of the songs are about the existential questions I’m sure most people ask themselves at some point in life. I tried to be as honest as I could with myself and really dig deep and I hope that people get that. We can’t wait to start smashing these songs on stage again over the winter.”

Their new EP entitled Foot Of The Mountain is due for release in November on We are Triumphant Records and the band have tour dates in the works towards the end of the year which are to be announced shortly.
