Psychonaut announce new album ‘Violate Consensus Reality’
PSYCHONAUT have announced a new album!
Titled Violate Consensus Reality, the new album from the psychedelic post-metallers follows 2020’s Unfold The God Man and is scheduled for release in October this year via Pelagic Records.
Speaking about the new album, vocalist/guitarist Stefan de Graef explains, “We’ve always been interested in religion, spirituality and philosophy. We’ve meditated together, had long discussions about the nature of life, and we share a common vision… We distance ourselves from a system that is based on the idea that humanity is fundamentally bad and needs protection from itself in the form of a hierarchy. By no longer subscribing to the notion that we are all separate beings in a separate world that is dead and pointless, we embrace the vision of a new civilisation that is rooted in the idea that we are part of a living, sacred universe.”
Alongside the announcement of the upcoming album, the band have also released a new music video for the album’s title track and latest single, which features a guest appearance from AMENRA‘s Colin H. van Eeckhout.
