Rainbows Are Free announce new album ‘Silver And Gold’
RAINBOWS ARE FREE have announced a new album!
Titled Silver And Gold, the upcoming album from the Oklahoma-based psychedelic doom metal band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s Head Pains, and is scheduled to be released in March this year, via Ripple Music.
The arrival of the new studio album comes on the back of last year’s live retrospective record, Heavy Petal Music, which marked the band’s first release via Ripple Music.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Sleep.
Speaking about the new song, vocalist Brandon Kistler says, “lyrically, it’s pretty straight ahead, and I’m most proud of the chorus for its honesty about society today and how we perceive it. It’s very relatable to how I felt at the time. My favorite line is, ‘We can’t let it break, no it can’t be broke’. I’m referring to society as a whole, and I was thinking about my children and the future of that society when I ad-libbed that line… we have to make it work.”
