Sacred Shrines announce new album ‘Enter The Woods’

SACRED SHRINES have announced a new album!

Titled Enter The Woods, the upcoming album will be the Brisbane-based garage psych-rockers sophomore effort, and is set for release April this year via Rebel Waves Records.

The album is a tale of losing your way and the time spent in the wilderness without a map to guide you. Its themes cover a range of human emotion such as mental illness, loss, betrayal, isolation, failure and self-belief, whilst standing as another strong collection of cosmic sounds and diverse song writing.

It was recorded at various studios around Brisbane and mixed by a carefully curated list of engineers across the world including Michael Badger (KING GIZZARD and the LIZARD WIZARD), Donovan Miller (FOREVR), James Aparicio (SPIRITUALIZED, GRINDERMAN) and local talent Dan James and Matt Weatherall.

Alongside the album announcement, the band have released a new single from the album titled Trail To Find, alongside an accompanying music video which was first premiered at It’s Psychedelic Baby Mag.

About the new single, frontman Phil Usher says, “This song tells the story of the abandonment that happens at the end of a relationship and how weird it can be that two people can share their lives so closely, but then go their separate ways as strangers, as if they never knew each other.”
