Saint Agnes release new music video for ‘Uppercut!’

SAINT AGNES have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Uppercut!, is the brand new single from the band and follows on from the release of their mini-album, Vampire, which was released back in March. The release of the new single comes ahead of the band’s headlining UK tour which kicks off later this month.

The new single was recorded, produced and mastered by the band themselves. The new track arrives after a string of formidable live performances at Download Festival Pilot, Burn It Down Festival and most recently, supporting SKINDRED for a select number of shows on their UK tour.

Speaking about the new song, vocalist Kitty A Austen says, “Uppercut! is about fighting with yourself, fighting with your own mind. No one is more brutal to us, more precisely evil in their criticism, than the voice in our own heads and it’s something I’ve struggled with a great deal in my life. Uppercut!’s message is one of self-destructive defiance: do your worst but it won’t be a patch on what I already do to myself. It’s a song that lives at rock bottom but hopefully lets people feel less alone if they struggle with the same thing. It’s the most honest song I’ve ever written and I hope, when we sing it together on tour, that we can silence those voices together. It’s also brutal as fuck and hits like an uppercut to the jaw, so that’s fun.”
