Saor announce new album ‘Amidst The Ruins’

SAOR have announced a new album!

Titled Amidst The Ruins, the upcoming album from the Caledonian folk/black metal band is the follow-up to 2022’s Origins, and is scheduled to be released in February next year, via Season Of Mist.

Guided by the spirit of Caledonia, the upcoming album intends to intertwine melancholy with grandeur, bridging the past and present through their evocative soundscapes. From the sorrowful betrayal chronicled in Glen Of Sorrow to the forested whispers accompanying The Sylvan Embrace, each note serves as a portal to Scotland’s rich heritage, embodying tales of strength, sorrow, and renewal.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track Amidst The Ruins.
