Satyricon release new single ‘To Your Brethren in the Dark’

SATYRICON have released a brand new single!

The new song, titled To Your Brethren in the Dark, is taken from the band’s upcoming album, Deep calleth upon Deep, which is scheduled for release this September. Speaking about the new song, frontman Satyr says, “To your brethren in the dark is definitely one of the flagship songs on the record. This is about emotion, our nature, the spirits, the autumn, the somber and rainy days, those who we lost and the ones who we have not met yet. You could say it is a tribute to the sorrow in man and to the drama of the nature we surround ourselves with. A song for the dark towers of the past and those who will rise in the future. Pass the torch to your brethren in the dark.”

Continuing to speak about the upcoming album, Frost tells Distorted Sound, “there is an abundance of everything SATYRICON has ever been about in this album. It feels very alive, electric, dark, magical, very open and creative. You know, it’s like fireworks on an album. I just think that there’s a lot going on, it’s very exciting, very diverse. Yeah, by and large it’s more of everything and bits that SATYIRCON never really had before, so I think for fans, it sounds very fresh and inspired.”

Alongside the release of the new album, the band will also be playing a one-off London show at Heaven in support of Deep calleth upon Deep on September 29th. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
