Shields announce new album ‘Death & Connection’
SHIELDS have announced a brand new album!
The upcoming album, titled Death & Connection, is the second full-length effort from the British metalcore band and is scheduled to be released on January 30th 2026, via Long Branch Records. The album marks the band’s return following their 2018 debut Life In Exile, which was cut short by the tragic passing of guitarist George Christie and led to the band’s disbandment.
Speaking about the new album, the band comment, “Death & Connection is a body of work born from the absence of the people who no longer hold space in our lives. This record was created from a necessity to express and soothe our deepest losses; however, that was never the intention – we simply set out to make an album we wanted to hear.”
To coincide with the announcement, the band have released a brand new single, Wolfskin, featuring guest vocals from Taylor Barber of LEFT TO SUFFER. The new song is the latest single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Kill, Red & Green and Abuser.
