Shields release new song ‘Parasites’

SHIELDS have released a brand new single!

The British metalcore band have unveiled their latest track Parasites, taken from their upcoming studio album Death & Connection, which is set for release on January 30th, 2026 via Long Branch Records.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Joe Edwards says, “Parasites is about the experience of sinking into depression and the warped internal relationship that develops within that state. Originally a rock song from a previous project, Parasites was repurposed for our album. As the original track already had dark undertones, it was easy to reframe it in moody industrial arrangements, allowing for a wide range of dynamic shifts between sections.”
