Slam Dunk Festival announce another 12 bands
12 more bands have been announced for next year’s Slam Dunk Festival!
After announcing headliners SUM 41 and the return of the Punk In Drublic last month, now, the festival celebrating all things alternative has announced another 12 bands for next year’s festival!
Leading the charge in today’s announcement is REFUSED, whilst COMEBACK KID, DEEZ NUTS, MOVEMENTS and FREE THROW join next year’s billing. Also, YOUNG GUNS have announced their return and will perform their 2010 debut All Our Kings Are Dead in full to celebrate the record’s ten year anniversary, FIT FOR A KING, Dine Alone Records alumni BEDOUIN SOUNDCLASH and MOM JEANS will perform sets across the two date festival. REEL BIG FISH, FACE TO FACE and THE VANDALS round up today’s announcement and join NOFX and PENNYWISE on the Punk In Drublic Stage.
Speaking about performing at next year’s festival, Andrew Neufeld of COMEBACK KID says, “a couple years back, I remember getting scared to play Slam Dunk because all the bands were killing it so hard, but ‘imma say that the CBK concert goers did not disappoint! They made sure to let us know they were coming in hot and we made triple sure back!” DEEZ NUTS frontman JJ Peters adds, “it’s been four years since we’ve played Slam Dunk, it was an amazing time all the way back then, so I can’t wait to see how much it’s grown. Plus our stage line up is a dream come true for us, hopefully for you too [laughs].”
Slam Dunk Festival North will take place on Saturday May 23rd 2020 at Temple Newsam and Slam Dunk South will take place on Sunday May 24th at Hatfield Park. Tickets can be purchased here.
