Slipknot release new song ‘The Chapeltown Rag’

SLIPKNOT have released a brand new song!

Titled The Chapeltown Rag, the new song from the nu-metal behemoths is their first new music in two years, following on from the release of 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind. The song will be performed for the first time during the Knotfest Los Angeles streaming event. The event will be streaming from Banc of California Stadium.

Speaking about the song, vocalist Corey Taylor says, “it’s a punisher man. It’s classic SLIPKNOT. And it’s frenetic. But lyrically, it’s coming from a point of talking about the various manipulations that can happen when social media meets media itself. And the different ways that these manipulations can try to pull us in different directions, in the fact that we’re all becoming addicts to it, which is very, very dangerous.”. M. Shawn Crahan, aka Clown adds, “The Chapeltown Rag facilitates a sort of mindset that you’re going to like: it’s along the barnburner side of things.”
