Soen release new song ‘Mercenary’

SOEN have released a brand new song!

The new song, titled Mercenary, is the second single lifted from the Swedish progressive metal band’s upcoming album Reliance, which is scheduled to be released on January 16th via Silver Lining Music.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Joel Ekelöf says, “Mercenary is about the violence we inherit, which then sees hatred seeping into lives – and life – which in turn shapes generations.”

Founding member and drummer Martin Lopez adds, “it also addresses betrayal, about how that can see us ‘crowning vultures into kings’.” Ekelöf continues, “at its heart, ‘Mercenary’ speaks to the cost of belief,” while Lopez affirms, “musically, it carries the essence of SOEN – heavy yet melodic and built on power and precision.”
