Sophie Lloyd announces guitar auction fundraiser for Pasadena Humane Society
SOPHIE LLOYD has announced a special guitar auction!
Having just returned from the US after her first ever US solo performance at The Whisky A Go Go in support of 2023’s debut album Imposter Syndrome, the guitarist will auction one of her signature guitars used at the show – which retails at $3619 – for the Animal and Wildlife Charity, Pasadena Humane Society.
The charity has been providing emergency animal response to the tragic fires which have devastated areas of Los Angeles.
Speaking about the auction, the guitarist shares, “so I’m finally back home after a crazy few weeks in the USA for my debut US show at The Whisky-A-Go Go in LA! What an incredible night. I am so happy to announce we raised over $1000 for the Los Angeles Fire Department Fund from merch and ticket sales on the night 
I am also very honoured to be putting one of my Signature Kiesel guitars that I played on stage at The Whisky, personally signed by me, up for auction to raise money for the Pasadena Humane Society. PHS are a critical lifeline for pets impacted by the Los Angeles Fires. They are providing animals impacted by the fire with safe shelter and medical care as well as lifesaving assistance, including animal evacuation, care for injured animals, emergency boarding and resources such as food and supplies for animals who remain in the fire zone.”
The six string guitar up for auction is LLOYD’s signature Kiesel SL6, a Bolt-on Aries in Red Trans Burst finish featuring a 5-piece Walnut Neck with Purple Heart Stripes, 24 frets, and a Birdseye maple fretboard, with Iron Age Killswitch, and Sophie‘s signature truss rod cover. This guitar also includes the strap and pick LLOYD used on stage with this guitar at the Whisky A-Go-Go, as well as the Kiesel gig bag. The guitar is signed bold and vibrant in Gold Permanent Marker.
The guitar is in excellent condition, with only minor wear consistent with stage use, ready to be played or displayed. The auction will close at 6pm GMT (10am PST) Wednesday, February 5th. The auction can be accessed here.
