Strange Bones announce new EP ‘Blitz Pt 1’
STRANGE BONES have announced a new EP!
The new EP, titled Blitz Pt 1, is scheduled to be released in July this year!
The upcoming EP was was recorded and produced in the band’s own studio, and mixed by Thomas Mitchener (FRANK CARTER & THE RATTLESNAKES) and speaking about the EP, vocalist Bobby Bentham says, “Blitz is a commentary of 21st century life. Part 1 looks at the hyper-normalisation of modern society, our reliance on self medication and self-built technological utopias in a world of accelerated modernity. The artwork is a depiction of the town that time forgot, life and death in Blackpool UK.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released the first song from the upcoming record; titled Vicious. Speaking about the song, Blitz adds, “Vicious is a brutal showcase of what the band is capable of. The song is a demonstration of our vast influences and marks a turning point in the band’s evolution. STRANGE BONES was never meant to be a punk band or a rock band, the idea was to constantly evolve, with an underlying sonic signature. Bringing in elements of different genres is something we have always done, more subtly up until now. The song takes no prisoners, and reveals STRANGE BONES to the world as genre shape shifters.”
