Takedown Festival announces new bands for 2026

Award-nominated independent rock and metal festival Takedown Festival has announced the next wave of artists for its 2026 edition!

Following last month’s announcement – that saw headliners PRESIDENT and PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS confirmed – newly confirmed acts include MOUTH CULTURE, the alternative rock collective from Leicester known for their anthemic, high-energy chaos, and ZETRA, the shadowy London duo bringing their unique brand of shoegaze-soaked metal theatrics. Both will take to the stage on Saturday, alongside LASTELLE. On Friday, SOUTH OF SALEM and ASOMVEL join the bill.

Speaking about their upcoming appearance, MOUTH CULTURE shares, Takedown feels like home – chaotic, loud, and exactly where we belong. We’re ready to leave our mark on it.” ZETRA adds, “the countdown to Takedown begins. In April 2026, ZETRA will return to the Portsmouth Guildhall. Expect the unexpected. Believe the unbelievable. The cycle starts anew. ZETRA Loves You.”

LASTELLE comments, “we’re really excited to be back at Takedown this year! We were welcomed with open arms last year, so to be back again but on the main stage is definitely going to be one to remember.” SOUTH OF SALEM says, “we could not be more excited to be a part of Takedown Festival 2026! The event is always incredible and we cannot wait to bring our high octane horror show to that awesome stage. As massive MOTÖRHEAD fans we are also buzzing to see PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS play their killer MOTÖRHEAD set.”

ASOMVEL adds, TAKEDOWN! ASOMVEL is coming for you! Honoured to be a part of the 2026 lineup, ASOMVEL has always been about loud, honest heavy rock, and that’s exactly what fans can expect from the show at Takedown 2026 in Portsmouth. See you on the Friday for an apocalyptic orgy of volume beyond human imagining!!!”
