Texas In July announce new EP ‘Without Reason’
TEXAS IN JULY have announced a new EP!
Titled Without Reason, the upcoming EP from the Pennsylvania-based metalcore band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2014’s Bloodwork, and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via Equal Vision Records.
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Put To Death. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from False Divinity. which was released back in June.
Speaking about the new song, bassist Ben Witkowski says, “Put To Death is in its own world. It’s darker and faster and was written differently than the rest of the songs on the EP. It is relentless and in your face, with a wild black metal-sounding chorus – hearing a range from JT that has never been recorded and the fastest double bass Adam has ever tracked. It’s an uncanny change of pace that we all love. The song itself is about following the leader instead of carving your path – the result of conforming to ordinariness and not seeking what is most important to you.”
