Textures release new song ‘Vanishing Twin’

TEXTURES have released a brand new single!

The new single, Vanishing Twin, is the latest track from the Dutch progressive metal band and is taken from their upcoming album Genotype, which will be released on January 23rd, 2026 via Kscope. Inspired by personal experiences, the song explores the rarely discussed phenomenon known as ‘Vanishing Twin Syndrome’.

Speaking about the track, drummer Stef Broks explains, “I have two relatives who struggle with the so-called Lost or Vanishing Twin syndrome. This happens when two foetuses emerge in the womb, but one of them is absorbed by the woman’s body or the other twin. The remaining child that is being born will often deal with the traumatic feeling of having lost a brother/sister and this can shape their life in a significant way.”
