The Amity Affliction announce new album ‘HOUSE OF CARDS’

THE AMITY AFFLICTION have announced a brand new album!

Titled HOUSE OF CARDS, the upcoming record from the Australian metalcore band is scheduled to be released on April 24th, 2026 via Pure Noise Records. Serving as the follow‑up to 2023’s Not Without My Ghosts, the album marks the band’s first full‑length to feature clean vocalist Jonny Reeves, who became a permanent member in 2025.

Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the title track – a deeply personal song written by Joel Birch for his brother, sister, and himself, reflecting on their complicated relationship with their mother, who stands as the thematic anchor of the album. Released alongside the track is the official music video, directed by Daniel Daly.

Explaining the song’s emotional foundation, Joel Birch says, “our mother died in 2024 and none of us had a healthy relationship with her. She was very self‑involved, aggressive and abusive in our early years, and in her later years, spent a good amount of time trying to put a wedge between the three of us. Thankfully, once she passed, the three of us actually became closer as we realised we had individual but shared trauma related to her.”
