The Mars Volta release new music video for ‘Blacklight Shine’

THE MARS VOLTA have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the brand new single Blacklight Shine, is the American progressive rock band’s first new release in over a decade. It takes the form of an 11-minute short film directed by the band’s guitarist/composer Omar Rodríguez-López.

Speaking about the new song, singer/lyricist Cedric Bixler-Zavala explains that the lyrics should help to illuminate the idea of “a wave of rolling blackouts washing memories onto shore, a heartbeat that still remembers everything.”
