The Used announce new album ‘MEDZ’

THE USED have announced a new album!

Titled MEDZ, the upcoming album from the American post-hardcore band is the follow-up to last year’s Toxic Positivity, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Big Noise. The upcoming album features never heard before material from the Toxic Positivity writing sessions with John Feldmann in 2022 and 2023.

Sharing a quote from C.S. Lewis to give a deeper meaning to the collection of b-sides, vocalist Bert McCracken says, “mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say ‘My tooth is aching’ than to say ‘My heart is broken’.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track MEDZ.
