Tynebound announce second wave of bands for inaugural event
Tynebound have expanded the lineup for their 2026 edition!
The new two‑day black metal event will take place at Anarchy Brew Co. in Newcastle on September 5–6, and has already reached 50% capacity following its initial announcement.
Leading the second wave is CONIFÈRE, who will fly in from Québec for a rare UK performance, bringing their acclaimed blend of raw black metal, ambient textures and dungeon synth. They are joined by BLOOD COUNTESS, appearing ahead of the release of their new album Imperatrix Sanguinis on April 24th.
The bill also expands with a special anniversary set from THE INFERNAL SEA, who will perform their 2016 album The Great Mortality in full to mark its ten‑year milestone. Speaking about the performance, the band comments, “in the blink of an eye, ten years have flashed before us. 2026 marks the 10th Anniversary of our sophomore album The Great Mortality. During that time, we have encountered a modern-day pandemic, a harrowing situation which only enforced the subject matter of the album. We return to the past for a handful of shows celebrating The Great Mortality, whereby we will perform the album in its entirety. We invite you to join the ritual and herald a new age of darkness and misery. Fear the Black Death, it comes for us all.”
Rounding out the announcement, THE SUN’S JOURNEY THROUGH THE NIGHT will return to the stage as a full live band, debuting new material with a refreshed lineup. The band says, “after a long period of silence, THE SUN’S JOURNEY THROUGH THE NIGHT are incredibly excited to finally journey north once again to perform, with a new line-up, new music and a renewed chaotic energy. Hail No One.”
These new additions join the previously announced MOONLIGHT SORCERY, who headline Sunday in their exclusive UK appearance. Also confirmed are Czech black metal veterans INFERNO, the elusive ARISTARCHOS, and Scottish black metal outfit CNOC AN TURSA, who will showcase material from their long-awaited new album A Cry For The Slain.
