Ulver announce new album ‘Flowers Of Evil’
ULVER have announced a new album!
Titled Flowers Of Evil, the upcoming album from the Norwegian experimental band is their twelfth studio album and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via House Of Mythology.
The upcoming album follows on from 2017’s The Assassination of Julius Caesar. Flowers of Evil comes across as an unfeigned progression along the course set by that album, revealing a band moving deeper into beats and grooves, hooks and choruses, synths and guitars, yet sounding more stripped back, making room for the distinctive detail. Once again, Michael Rendall (The Orb) and legendary producer Martin “Youth” Glover have taken care of the mix.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, you can view both the track list and artwork for the upcoming album below:
Track List:
1. One Last Dance
2. Russian Doll
3. Machine Guns and Peacock Feathers
4. Hour of the Wolf
5. Apocalypse 1993
6. Little Boy
7. Nostalgia
8. A Thousand Cuts
Also, alongside the album’s release, the band will release their first ever book. Titled Wolves Evolve: The Ulver Story, the new 336-page book reflects on over 25 years of the band’s history. Speaking about the book, the band says, “we’ve been talking about making a book – the ULVER story – for years. First for our 15th anniversary, then for our 20th anniversary, and now, after well over a quarter of a century, the time has come. We’ve been riding this beast for the greater part of our lives, and the future is not what it used to be.”
Flowers Of Evil is set for release on August 28th via House Of Mythology.
