unpeople announce debut self-titled EP
UNPEOPLE have announced their debut EP!
The upcoming EP, a self-titled effort, is the debut EP from the alternative rock band and is scheduled to be released in April this year, via SharpTone Records.
Alongside the announcement of the debut EP, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; waste. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from smother, which was released in November last year.
Speaking about the new song, the band says, “waste is essentially a ‘government bad’ song in THE most apathetic way possible. Feeling completely helpless while watching public services being decimated with zero signs of remorse or self awareness from those in positions of power.
There is an element of Brexit inspired self inflicted wounds. People lapping up what was essentially propaganda then complaining when they get what they voted for. I know it’s not my place to say…I’m no expert…but you can’t deny the irreparable damage that has been and will continue to be caused. We’re going to waste it all away.”
