Urne announce new album ‘Setting Fire To The Sky’
URNE have announced a brand new album!
The upcoming album, titled Setting Fire To The Sky, is the band’s third full-length record and is scheduled to be released in January next year, via Spinefarm Records. It marks the follow-up to 2023’s A Feast On Sorrow, and was produced by Justin Hill (SIKTH), mixed by Johann Meyer at Silvercord Studio, and mastered by Tony Lindstrom at Fascination Street Studio.
The announcement is paired with the release of a new single, Be Not Dismayed, which arrives alongside an official music video. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Harken The Waves, which was released back in May.
Speaking about the track, vocalist/bassist Joe Nally shares, “I wrote the lyrics to Be Not Dismayed after spending a few summers playing some of the best metal festivals around and seeing the buzz that fans would have by being there. On people’s faces, you could see they were experiencing pure elation, and I guess it took me back to that feeling I used to have going to shows. I clearly remember the feeling I had when I went to see SLAYER for the first time at the London Astoria. I went through it all. In the end, it was the moment that set me on a path to where I am now.”
