Venom Prison announce new album ‘Samsara’
VENOM PRISON have announced a new album!
Titled Samsara, the upcoming album is the hotly anticipated second effort from the UK death metallers and is scheduled to be released in March this year.
The upcoming album was recorded in summer last year at Vagrant Studio, Southport, UK and was produced by Tom Dring (DAWN RAY’D, DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT) and Arthur Rizk (CODE ORANGE, POWER TRIP). Themes and topics explored in the album’s lyrics are more personal than on their debut, Animus; vocalist, Larissa Stupar, examines her own interpretation and experiences of suffering, as well as navigating broader societal concepts. It is a political thread of fury that delivers a lashing in the direction of human trafficking, capital punishment, and – as in the case of the first single, Uterine Industrialisation – forced surrogacy.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have launched a new music video for the first single from the upcoming record; titled Uterine Industrialisation.
