Via Doloris announce debut album ‘Guerre et Paix’
VIA DOLORIS have announced a brand new album!
The Norwegian black metal band have announced their forthcoming debut album, Guerre et Paix, which is set for release on March 20th via Season of Mist. Positioned at the conceptual centre of the record, the album traces an ascent from inner collapse toward fragile self‑awareness, exploring the tension between endurance and surrender through a disciplined, atmospheric black metal framework.
To accompany the announcement, VIA DOLORIS have released the album’s central composition For The Glory, presented alongside a new music video. Built on ascending motifs and carefully controlled crescendos, the track rises through restraint, with Gildas Le Pape shaping deliberate guitar lines guided by melody rather than excess. Drumming from Frost (1349, SATYRICON) grounds the composition in a sense of physical persistence, reinforcing the track’s focus on survival over triumph.
