VoidCeremony announce new album ‘Abditum’

VOIDCEREMONY have announced a brand new album!

Titled Abditum, the upcoming album from the American technical death metal band is the follow-up to 2023’s Threads of Unknowing and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via 20 Buck Spin.

Abditum was recorded by CK at Exum Studios in Escondido, California, with additional guitar, solos, and vocals tracked by Jon Hasz at RMC, and bass recorded in both the US and Australia. The album was mixed and mastered by Andy Kite at Against the Grain Studio in South Australia and completed with artwork and layout by Khuzuzu.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first single from the record; titled Seventh Ephemeral Aura. Speaking about the new song, guitarist/vocalist Wandering Mind says, “hello all, once again VOIDCEREMONY is releasing a new album… Thanks for your patience in the several delays. Here we present the first single. So, interestingly, we almost called the album Seventh Ephemeral Aura. This is my take on some otherworldly and strange technical death metal… Perhaps something that would have been heard in the early-mid 2000s, indeed. Some ideas for it began developing in my mind in the South of France, and properly manifested when I returned home over the year. The lyrical content is of a spiritual curse consisting of seven phases which ultimately end in death. I decided to return a chaotic lead in the middle, paying homage to a previous work of mine, Through The Woe Of The Dismal Pandemonium, from 2017. My other lead on the track is more controlled and manifested organically. Lastly, new guitarist The Archonoclast brings a strong fusion solo that rips the same way the Seventh Ephemeral aura destroys the body and mind from the inside out, both ethereally and physically. Myself, VOIDCEREMONY, and 20 Buck Spin proudly present to you this new single. I hope you all enjoy!”
