Volbeat reveal new bassist

VOLBEAT have revealed their new bassist!

Danish rockers VOLBEAT have announced that Kaspar Boye Larsen will serve as their new bassist, taking over from long-time member Anders Kjølholm, who left the band in December.

“We are happy to announce that Kaspar Boye Larsen is officially now the new bass player in VOLBEAT“, say the band. “We just got back from a great US tour and Kaspar showed as we expected that he’s the real deal. The fans love him and we can’t wait for the rest of you to hook up with us as a full band again on our coming shows.” 

Formerly of punk-rockers THE HITCHCOCKS and alt-metal outfit THE KANDIDATE, Larsen previously toured with VOLBEAT as a support act in 2010. He is set to make his European live debut with the band at Rock am Ring on 3rd June.

Larsen also appears in the band’s music video for The Devil’s Bleeding Crown, the first single from their upcoming album Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie – which is set for release on June 3rd via Spinefarm Records.
