Wardruna release new music video for ‘Hibjørnen’

WARDRUNA have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Hibjørnen, is taken from the Norwegian folk collective’s upcoming new album, Birna, which is scheduled to be released in January next year, via By Norse.

Speaking about the new single, band mastermind Einar Selvik says, “the rhythm of the bear embodies the very circle of life: When winter approaches, it goes to sleep in its den – back to the womb; its pulse slowing, its body encapsulated in an intermediate death. Like a lullaby, Hibjørnen takes on the perspective of the hibernating bear and its dormant dreams from inside the den. The listener returns from the den of the bear more attuned, aware and contemplative of nature’s wonders, just in time for the freshly sprung buds.”

Birna is set for release on January 24th via By Norse. Pre-orders are available now and can be purchased here.
