Wiegedood announce European tour
WIEGEDOOD have announced a headlining European tour!
Set to take place in January, February and March next year, the tour will see the Belgian black metal band touring across mainland Europe and the UK in support of their upcoming new album, There’s Always Blood At The End of The Road (the follow-up to 2018’s De Doden Hebben Het Goed III), which is scheduled to be released in January. PORTRAYAL OF GUILT will support the band on the first leg of the tour and more details about the band’s upcoming new album will be unveiled in the coming months.
Providing the first glimpse into their upcoming new album, the band says, “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road focuses on the filthiest and most disgusting parts of human nature and society. It steers clear from the typical black metal themes and concepts, instead zoning in on the struggle we lead within, trying to overcome the fact we are all made from that same filth. Exploring places the previous trilogy didn’t even scratch the surface of, both lyrically and musically. A first-hand look into pure disgust, a psychotic ride with synths, tape-recorders, hot club jazz and distressing samples. A definite switch from our previous work, a dark turn into something unexpected and unwelcome.”
