Worm Shepherd announce new EP ‘The Sleeping Sun’
WORM SHEPHERD have announced a new EP!
Titled The Sleeping Sun, the upcoming EP from the blackened deathcore band is the follow-up to last year’s Ritual Hymns, and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Unique Leader Records.
Speaking about the upcoming EP, guitarist Tre Purdue says, “this EP has a ton of layers to it. We wanted to capture a lot of elements that we haven’t tackled before and retain some of the sound we’ve had previously. When I wrote this EP I wanted you to experience something new every song. Going from emotional melodies to bone crushingly heavy… I think is something we captured perfectly on this EP and is only a taste of what’s to come, as we continue to grow and experiment with our sound.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new song from the upcoming EP; The Dying Heavens. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from The Frozen Lake Part II, which was released back in April.
