Written By Wolves announce new album ‘The Lighthouse’

WRITTEN BY WOLVES have announced a new album!

Titled The Lighthouse, the upcoming album from the New Zealand-based cinematic rock band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s Secrets, and is scheduled to be released in July this year, via self-release.

The upcoming album was recorded and produced in Los Angeles with Gladius James [JUSTIN BIEBER, DEMI LOVATO, FIFTH HARMONY].

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; PLEASE, JUST BREATHE. The new single is the latest song to be released from the upcoming album, following on from BURNGODDESSMISERY, TAKE ME HOME, GIVE ‘EM HELL and ALTAR.

The new song’s accompanying music video is a loose cinematic representation of the story behind the song about the day when vocalist Michael Murphy’s dad died and everything he went through to try and be at his bedside before he passed. “This song documents everything I felt and thought in that time and the emphatic plea for him to please, just breathe until I could get to him…,” says Murphy. “Ultimately, the song is a realisation that the time we have together is finite and how important it is not to take those moments together for granted.”
