Year Of The Goat announce new album ‘Trivia Goddess’
YEAR OF THE GOAT have announced a new album!
Titled Trivia Goddess, the upcoming album from the Swedish occult rock band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s Novis Orbis Terrarum Ordinis, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Napalm Records.
The upcoming album was mixed by Tom Dalgety at Psalm Studios, Wiltshire, UK, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg / Magnus Lindberg Productions.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, YEAR OF THE GOAT have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Allucarda.
Speaking about the new song, the band shares, “Alucarda came to us one late night and told us a story of how girls in particular have been accused of demonic possession, witchcraft and all sorts of evil throughout history. The spirit of Alucarda opened our eyes to the story of German girl Anneliese Michel, who went through 67 Catholic exorcism rites in the seventies and finally died from malnutrition and dehydration, due to neglect by her parents and priests. Anneliese was only one woman in a long row of women and girls mistreated by the misogynic and evil system of the Abrahamic religions.”
